After losing my adopted mother to brain cancer, I experienced firsthand how unprepared many families are for mature living transitions
In moments of illness or decline, families are often forced to navigate complex choices involving housing, legal considerations, financial planning, and caregiving without clear information or guidance
That experience revealed a broader gap
Many seniors and families encounter these transitions only when a crisis occurs, rather than having access to education and resources earlier
Mature Living Resources was created to address that gap through education, preparation, and community-based support
The work of this organization is informed by professional experience working alongside seniors, families, and advisors involved in housing and life transitions
That experience reinforced the importance of aligning personal goals, financial realities, and timing before irreversible decisions are made
Education and preparation make it possible to plan rather than react
Mature Living Resources provides access to information, educational programming, and community conversations related to later-life transitions
